1. PlaSafe PVC Decking membrane is a polyester reinforced, multi-layer, synthetic and mechanically fastened roof waterproofing sheet based on polyvinyl chloride (PVC) with UV resistant and fire retardant. With various colors and patterns, PlaSafe PVC Decking Membranes are specifically designed for use as waterproof walking surfaces on decks, patios, roof decks or wherever an attractive durable waterproof surface is required. The fact that these products serve as waterproofing materials makes the installation extremely important. PlaSafe membranes must be installed with waterproofing and roofing procedures in mind, and only by fully qualified PlaSafe Applicators. The PlaSafe system of proven details and practices take the guess work out of waterproof deck applications.
2.PlaSafe membranes are extended up the wall of the building, behind the cladding for proper overlap and flow of moisture away from the building.
3. Door sills are wrapped up all sides with the PlaSafe membrane to ensure a completely waterproof door sill detail. The door is sealed to the sill upon installation
4. The PlaSafe membrane is wrapped over the outside edge, and mechanically fastened in place with the PlaSafe ‘U-Bar’ or metal bean mechanical fastener.
5. The PlaSafe membrane is wrapped over the outside edge and heat welded in place with the PlaSafe ‘L-Fix’ mechanical fastener.
6. For an Inside wall corner, the PlaSafe membrane is folded onto itself and heat welded in place to form a neat corner with no cuts in the membrane
7. The PlaSafe membrane is cut to continue around an outside wall corner, and an additional pc of membrane is fitted over the existing membrane and heat welded in place
